IBM mock is over so how is it? It sucks. I did only 2 qns out of . Till the day before the exams, i only studied chapter 1.3. I tried to mug chapter 3.1 for a few hours before the exam but it didn't help much. i tried to study chapter 7 in the bus but no qn on that topic came out. -_- The only consolation i could get was that top student ghim hong also did only 2 qn. It's damn selfish to think in this way, but it's aways comforting to know that u're not alone right? somemore he is the top student u know! I wish him all the best for the real exams too.
went out with Mr M for marvelous yesterday.
Thanks to his lousy starhub phone with super lousy reception, I didn't really catch the point that he brought foward the hair cut appointment to 12. I thought it was at 1.30.
and ALMOST for the first time I thought I WAS EARLY when I left my house at 12 :/ Very paiseh to let u wait 1 hr for me leh yip. amazing that u can always entertain urself with newspapers and more newspapers. heeeeeee
The hair cut was terrible. I dunno whether the scissors was blunt or wat. It kept pulling my hair. I think i've lost countless strands during that hair cut. I told the gay hair dresser and he just smiled. Not sure if he understand wat I was saying. The end result quite ok la, I will say 6.5-7/10
We headed to queensway, Yip bought a garfield-coloured kappa shoe and I bought myself a chinup bar and training gloves. When I went into the shop, the guy kept trying to close the deal quickly. the chinup bar cost $29 and the gloves cost $44. I'm ok with the price of the chinup bar but I didn't want the gloves becos it's too costly. Furthermore I haven't check out the price of the gloves at other shops. He kept reducing the price of the gloves and that made me damn suspicious.
1.) First he told me he'll sell it to me at 40. I told him I don't want it. $40 for a gloves is way too much.
2.) He asked me wat's my budget and I told him $20. Then he say 'ok this price for u only', punched a few times on the calculator and showed me $35. I tell him I don't want it.
3.) Then he told me that he would charge me $62 for both the chin up bar and the gloves. that would be $33 for the gloves. I asked him if he can make it $60
4.) He consulted his friend and agreed.
Since he agreed I couldn't back down on my words also, so I bought both items at $60.
I quickly went to all the other shops to check out the price of the gloves and all of them are selling it for around $42. maybe it's a norm that the shops would sell it cheaper than wat's stated on the price tag, so I think $35 should be the normal price and maybe the further discount is on the chinup bar. Still I feel quite shiok to pull off such a good deal.
Mounted the bar just outside my room. It didn't require fixing screws to the wall so my father didn't complain. Can't help but feel enthusiastic. I did quite a few sets of chin ups. As to how many was done, shall not be posted here so that Mr M will not be demoralised for his IPPT training. :D For the gloves, though I got it cheap, it wasn't very good. Firstly the grip isn't as good as my old pair that i bought quite a long time back for army use. secondly, I sweated in my gloves. HEARTACHE. $30 gloves wo bu she de yong.
