Dear friends.
I've got CDD C6 for my A levels and I'm rejected by NUS, NTU (Including the "dumping Ground" - Engineering), SMU and even NIE.
It was my childhood dream to become a secondary school D&T and physics teacher.
I'm totally devastated that I did not get into NTU engineering
I'm also interested in comp stuffs.
Now I'm considering between a few routes.
1. Retake A level. I registered for the exam already. I believe I missed NTU engineering by 1-2 grades. Please dun advise me to go for it just because I paid for it. I dread mugging again for A levels, but I will do it if I have to do it.
[Interest level 5/10]
Now for degree courses
2. SIM (UOL) BSC in Mathematics and econs.
I took Further maths in A levels and got a D
For most of the math units in the course, I do know the basic.
I'm considering this course to pursue my childhood dream. I do not know if MOE recognises UOL external degrees though.
[Interest level 5/10]
3. SIM(UOL) BSC in Management.
I know a lot of people say that it's best to have working experience before pursueing a management degree. But it's the only course (non-IT related) that appeals to me. I'm quite interested in organisation's management, human resource etc. I can still pursue my interest in teaching but in primary school, with a degree in management.
[Interest level 7.5/10]
4. SIM(UOL) BSC in business.
I'm considering this because IMO this has the most prospect. (Correct me if I'm wrong). Looking through the units, I think I would like the course too.
[Interest Level 7/10]
5. uniSIM BSc (Honours) in Biomedical Engineering
I'm considering this because of it's prospect and because it's engineering. On one hand I can still pursue my childhood dream. On the other hand, this is the "in" thing in Singapore now. However I've never taken Biology before and that's the biggest worry.
[Interest Level 7/10]
6. uniSIM BSC in Multimedia Technology and Design
I quite like multi Media design and stuffs to do with computer. I consider myself quite a computer geek to be honest.
[Interest Level 8/10]
However due to my ignorance, I did not apply for the uniSIM July intake which now have closed. The next intake is in January 2007. Another thing holding me back for uniSIM's courses is that it is part-time.
TOTAL DILEMMA
